There are two main reasons juices for kidney cleanse are so popular:

  • Absorption & Hydration: The juice form makes it easier for the body to quickly digest and absorb the nutrients. Since juices are usually high in essential electrolytes and minerals, they can hydrate your body and help your kidneys flush excess water and toxins.
  • Taste: Juices recipes usually taste great to most people. Better than the actual solid vegetables used. Enjoying your cleanse and the taste of the recipes is something we take very seriously at Cleanse Joy. (Hence, the JOY part).
In fact, it is one of our core values! If the recipe doesn’t make you happy, we do not use it.

Kidney Cleanse Juice : Top Tips From Our Members

The kidney cleanse juice recipe is one of our best and most popular recipes. Our members like the way it tastes, and the way it makes them feel. Especially when you drink it in the morning instead of your coffee or meal.

With that said, there are a few popular ways you can do to improve the recipe and enhance your results further. Here are the top suggestions from our members, with our answers to the FAQ:

Kidney Cleansing Herbs

As you can see in the recipe, to further support the kidneys, we recommend to mix 1 ml of Dr. Group’s Renaltrex® drops.

The formula combines science proven kidney cleansing herbs that have been used traditionally for many generation to support kidneys health. It is one of the only kidney support supplement that is certified organic. Purity and potency matters. Especially, when you try to cleanse your body from toxins.

Both safe and effective, many of our members find it a quick and easy way to naturally support your kidneys. Just add to this juice or when busy, to your water.

To learn more about Renaltrex®, see Dr. Group’s website.

Coconut Water

Initial research data suggests that coconut water may be effective phytotherapy against kidney stones.[1]

So, while more studies are needed before the medical community will make a decision, If you already like to drink coconut water, you may want to mix 250-500 ml with your kidney cleanse juice. Just make sure there are no added sugars or other ingredients. We are talking about 100% fresh coconut water.

Replace the Orange with Pineapple

If you are lucky enough and can get fresh pineapple at your local store, you can replace the orange juice with pineapple. Use 1 cup of pineapple chunks in this juice recipe.

Watermelon: Is it good for your kidneys?

Many kidney cleanse juice recipes like to add watermelon and melon. In our opinion however, it is much better to eat then.

The main reason is due to their high water (92%) and sugar content. They are very hydrating, fast absorbing and sweet on their own. Just like nature intended. So, if you like to eat watermelons or melons, continue to do so. Use the fruits you do not always like to eat for juices.

Parsley & Cilantro

Parsley and cilantro are known kidney cleanse herbs. They do not however, taste great in juice or smoothies.

A few options here:

  • If you like the way parsley and cilantro taste, add them to your meals. For example, with salsa, hummus, tahini, or salads.
  • Have them in a shot. We got so many requests on this topic, we developed the Parsley – cilantro shot. Just FYI, before you try, it is not as tasty as the recipe above. Not even close. But, surprisingly, many of our members still like it.

Rotate your Greens & Fruits

Lastly, when it comes to juices, smoothies and healthy eating, we always recommend to experiment and rotate your foods, greens, veggies and fruits. This helps provide your body with high variety of nutrients, and prevent sensitivities. It also makes your taste buds happy. Variety is the spice of life.

Kidney Cleanse Juice Nutrition Facts

As you can see below, this juice provides your body with very impressive levels of nutrients. Definitely not your average store-bought juice!

On that note, this is one of the main differences between this juice to the kidney cleanse drink (see recipe), which we also developed as a part of our kidney cleanse protocol.

Liver and Kidney Cleanse: How to Strengthen Liver and Kidneys Naturally

Liver and Kidney Cleanse_ How to Strengthen Liver and Kidneys Naturally

ProtocolDrink recipeHerbsDietFoods | Recipes

Since we published our liver and kidney cleanse protocols, we got many requests to combine both. The result is below: a practical, easy to do, 5-day protocol designed to detox and strengthen liver and kidneys naturally and safely.

The protocol is based on some of our most popular detox recipes using potent foods and herbs known to support the liver and kidneys.
The drink and diet are required. Tea, juice and smoothie recipes are optional.

How to Strengthen Liver and Kidneys Naturally

How to Strengthen Liver and Kidneys Naturally

Here’s a quick summary of the liver and kidney cleanse 5-day detox protocol:

  1. Make the liver and kidney cleanse drink. 2-3 times a day
Traditional recipe with natural ingredients shown in multiple studies to help flush the kidneys and strengthen the liver. Ingredients include apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and liver and kidneys detox herbs.
See full recipe and details below.
  2. Limit simple sugars and processed foods.
Give your liver and kidneys a vacation from having to process these toxic foods. When you eat processed foods, your liver and kidneys work extra hard in order to filter and eliminate toxins, chemicals, hormones and antibiotics often found in these foods.
  3. Follow the liver and kidney detox diet.
The diet focuses on liver and kidneys cleanse foods known to detox, nourish, and strengthen both organs.
See the full list and recipes below.
  4. Drink enough liquids.
The liver and kidney cleanse can increase the amount of toxins released and filtered through both organs. Make sure to drink enough liquids to support the kidneys ability to filter and eliminate toxins released during the cleanse.
As a rule of thumb, drink half your body weight in ounces of water. You should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.
  5. Cycle off your liver and kidney cleanse herbs. 1 week
The 5 days liver and kidneys detox helps to naturally flush out toxins and nourish these organs. After the cleanse, it may be beneficial to “cycle off” liver and kidneys cleansing herbs for 5 days. This helps to slow down released toxins and allows the body to restore balance and strengthen kidneys and liver. You can continue to eat the liver and kidney cleanse diet, though.

The Liver and Kidney Cleanse Drink

The first step in the liver and kidney cleanse, is the detox drink below.

Healthy, easy to make, effective, and safe, it is one of the best home remedies you can make to naturally detox and nourish your liver and kidneys.

Lemon Juice & Apple Cider Vinegar: Liver & Kidneys Support

Lemon juice.
The research data suggests that the antioxidants in lemon can help to regulate elevated ALT and AST liver enzymes and balance triacylglycerol and lipid peroxidation in the liver.[1] The citric acid content of lemon was also suggested as a natural way that may help prevent kidney stones.[23]

Apple cider vinegar.
Multiple studies found that apple cider vinegar can regulate lipid metabolism in the liver, and protect both the kidneys and liver from an oxidative injury due to high fast diet[4,5].
Many natural health experts recommend to consume apple cider vinegar as a way to promote an alkaline environment in the body. This can help to alter the acidity in the urine, which help the kidneys to better flush toxins.

Liver and Kidney Cleanse Diet

Liver and Kidney Cleanse Diet

Summary:

  • Focus on the liver & kidney detox foods below.
  • It is best to eat most fruits on their own. Don’t mix different types of fruits, always on a empty stomach. This is essential for optimal digestion. The exception to these is avocado, which you can eat with your meals.
  •  75% of your plate should be veggies and greens.
  • Avoid large meals and overeating, as these can stress your liver and body.

Foods to eat:

  • Healthy fats: avocado, olive oil.
  • Nuts & seeds: fresh raw walnuts, almonds, sprouted pumpkin seeds, sunflowers seeds, hemp seeds.
  • Greens & veggies: especially dark leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, beetroot, carrots.
  • Clean proteins: for best results, stick with plant based proteins such as sprouted pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, moderate sprouted legumes and beans (as long as you can tolerate them). You can still have high quality animal proteins, that are antibiotic hormones free. Good options include wild caught alaskan salmon, grass fed beef, and bison.
  • Fruits: citrus especially lemon, blueberries, pomegranate and apples.
Fruits with high water content such as watermelon, melons, cantaloupe, grapefruits, oranges, and grapes are all great choices. Always eat fruits on an empty stomach.
  • Spices: turmeric, garlic, ginger.
  • Condiments: raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.

To educate yourself more about these foods, see our research and summary of evidence: best liver & Kidneys detox foods.

Foods to Avoid

  • Processed foods, processed beverages, artificial sweeteners, fried foods.
  • Sugars, ceralls, bread, pasta.
  • Gluten and dairy (most people have sensitivity to these).
  • Artificial stimulants, watch your energy drinks and supplements.
One cup of high quality organic black coffee or organic matcha may be ok as long as they agree with you.
  • Alcohol.

What is the Best Thing to Drink for Your Kidneys?

Update: based on your many requests and our testers comments, we added two options for the kidneys flush drink:

  • A quick under a minute “on the go” option: no juicer is needed.
  • The original recipe with the beets and ginger is still the most popular one. You do need a juicer or a blender (use a nut milk bag or a food strainer), unless you can get fresh beet juice at the store. (See the 30 seconds option of this recipe below)
  • We removed parsley and cilantro from this recipe. While these are powerful kidney cleansing herbs, they do not taste good. So, you may find them in our other kidney cleansing recipes, but not in this one. We wanted to create a good tasting kidney flush drink.

  • 500 ml coconut water or water bottle
  • 1 shot of 100% beet juice (about 1 oz)
  • 1 dropperful (1 ml) Renaltrex.

The Ingredients in The Kidney Flush Drink: Summary of Evidence

Beets: Increase Blood Flow to the Kidneys

Beet root juice Increases Blood Flow to the Kidneys

Out of the common kidney cleansing foods you often see at your local store, beetroot truly stand out. In particular, it is its ability to increase blood flow to the kidneys, which can augment the kidney cleansing properties of other ingredients.

How does it work? Beets are rich in nitrates. When you drink beet juice, the body converts the nitrates into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the inner muscles of the vessels. As your vessels become wider, your blood flow increases.[8,9]

So when this happens, you may get a better pump at the gym or improve exercise performance. You may also hear the term “natural viagra” as far as the benefits go. All these are linked to the ability to increase Nitric oxide.

In fact, in his post “The Kidney Dysfunction Epidemic”, Dr. Joseph Pizzorno described a study where beetroot juice was able to increase blood flow to the Kidneys, up to 26%. According to Dr. Joseph:[10]

Increasing blood flow to the kidneys has a huge impact on improving detoxification and decreasing oxidative stress.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Flushes Toxins from Kidneys

Apple Cider Vinegar flushes toxins from kidneys

Apple cider vinegar is a very popular natural cleansing ingredient, although the issue is usually that there are not a lot of studies or solid evidence on its effectiveness.

Can apple cider vinegar helps to flush your kidneys? Turns out, it may.

Apple cider vinegar is very acidic. When you drink it however, it actually promote an alkaline environment in the body, which can help to alter the acidity in the urine. This can improve the way the kidneys flush toxins, and may also prevent the formation of kidney stones.

A study that evaluated the connection between the dietary habits of 12,570 adults to kidney stones in china, found that more consumption of tea, legumes, and fermented vinegar was indeed associated with a lesser risk of kidney stone formation.[11]

Lemon Juice: Natural Kidney Stones Protection

Lemon juice protect against kidney stones

Lemon juice is an excellent natural source of citric acid. According to research, drinks that contain citric acid can help to increase urinary citrate excretion, which is a primary focus in the medical management of kidney stones.[12]

Ginger: May Help with Inflammation & Oxidative Stress in Kidneys

Ginger: decrease inflammation and oxidative stress in kidneys

While ginger is a great natural kidney cleansing herb, it does have a very strong and dominant flavor many people do not like.

To address that, we balanced the ginger with beets and lemon in the kidney flush drink recipe. So you get a nice kick, but not too much.

As for the evidence, research suggests that ginger can help improve kidney function and may even protect the kidney from certain toxins. The primary mechanism of protection appears to be ginger’s ability to decrease inflammation and oxidative damage.[13].

Coconut Water: Hydration

Coconut Water Hydration

Coconut water has gained a reputation as a great source of electrolytes and a natural way to hydrate the body. Initial data suggests coconut water can also help protect against impaired kidney function and reduce oxidative stress in the kidneys. In fact, one study showed that treatment with coconut water was able to inhibit crystal deposition in the kidneys, which may help for kidney stones.[14]

To clarify these findings, the researchers didn’t make any claims that coconut water can treat or prevent kidney stones. These are initial results that look very promising.

In the context of natural kidney cleansing, we have here a natural drink (coconut water) we all love that is highly available, with good evidence on its ability to promote kidney health. (Among other benefits).

Kidney Flush with Water

While this goes without saying, you can’t discuss the best drink to flush your kidneys without covering the basics: you need to drink enough water.

The main function of the kidneys is to filter waste products and extra fluids and flush them from the body as urine.

To do so effectively, the kidneys need enough water. The current guideline for total water intake for young men and women (ages 19 to 30 years) is 3.7 L and 2.7 L per day, respectively.[15]

Another way to look at this which we have heard from many physicians, is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water.

In General, you should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.

How To Drink The Kidney Cleanse Tea

When you do a kidney cleanse, it is very important to drink enough liquids to support the cleansing process. A good indication that you drink enough is that you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color. For this reason, we recommend to use 4 cups of water in the kidney cleanse tea recipe.

If you find that the tea taste is weak, reduce the amount of water to 2 cups. Another option to use this kidney cleanse tea is as a base to other drinks: dilute the tea further with more water or add to other drinks. Consume the drink throughout the day.  This may be a better option during the summer.

Kidney Cleanse Protocol

Kidney Cleanse Protocol

The idea of the kidney cleanse is simple: you start your day with a liquid diet: kidney cleanse drink for breakfast, and juice for lunch. You have a kidney cleanse smoothie for the afternoon and eat a kidney cleansing meal for dinner.
See the complete protocol.

The Ingredients In The Kidney Cleanse Tea

  • Lemon juice is an excellent natural source of citric acid. According to research, drinks that contain citric acid can help to increase urinary citrate excretion, which is a primary focus in the medical management of kidney stones. [1].
  • Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) has a long history of use as a diuretic to enhance the natural elimination of fluids by the kidneys. This historical evidence takes us back for over 2000, seen in both traditional chinese and ayurvedic medicine. Human studies also support the benefits of dandelion for kidney health. As research data suggests, consuming a fresh leaf extract of dandelion increases the frequency of urination [2].
  • Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties with a long history of traditional use that is also supported by many studies. According to research data, curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, may help to reduce harmful molecules that can lead to inflammation in chronic kidney disease. [3].
  • Black pepper’s major active component, piperine, is known for its ability to enhance the bioavailability of curcumin along with other herbs and spices. This combination has a long traditional use that is also backed up by science. According to one study, piperine increased the bioavailability of curcumin by 2000%. [4].

Hydration & Kidney Cleanse

The kidneys main function is to filter and remove waste products and extra fluid and flush them from the body as urine. To do that effectively, the kidneys need enough water.

For this reason, the most important step in a kidney cleanse, is proper hydration. The current guideline for total water intake for young men and women (ages 19 to 30 years) is 3.7 L and 2.7 L per day, respectively [5].

When you do a kidney cleanse, however, you may find that you need to drink more. In General, you should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.

FAQ: Using Additional Kidney Cleanse Herbs In Your Tea

There are a number of known kidney cleanse herbs that can further improve the kidney cleanse due to some unique properties. For this reason, many kidney cleanse teas and drinks contain herbs known to cleanse, detox and support healthy kidney and bladder function.

Common kidney cleanse herbs may include: chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri), uva ursi (bearberry, arctostaphylos), hydrangea, goldenrod (solidago), horsetail (equisetum arvense) and marshmallow (mallow root) herbs have a long history of traditional use that is also backed up by science.

Getting fresh high quality kidney cleansing herbs however, is not always possible. If that’s the case, we recommend to use alcohol free liquid tinctures that contain the active extracts of these herbs. The benefit of using the liquid form is improved absorption and solubility in the body, along with the ease of use. You can easily mix it with water, teas or other detox or kidney cleansing drinks.

A good example we use in our kidney cleanse protocol, is Renaltrex by Dr. Edward Group. You can add 4 full droppers to each 1 cup of the kidney cleanse tea just before you drink it.

The protocol only uses natural whole foods, herbs and home remedies. Many people like to also incorporate many of these recipes in their daily life to support overall good health.

Specifically to the kidney cleanse, if you think you have an issue with your kidneys, have any medical/health concern, or currently take any medication, speak with your doctor before you do the cleanse.

Kidney Cleansing Benefits

The most common benefit people report during the cleanse, is significantly less water retention. Especially in the midsection, feet, ankles, legs and face. Many people notice their skin looks better, more tight, and that it is easier for them to walk and exercise.

A lot of people who do this cleanse for the first time, are surprised to learn how much excess fluids their body used to hold.

These results are not surprising, considering that the kidneys play a key role in removing toxins and regulating water balance in the body.

The Importance Of Cleansing Your Kidneys

Source: The National Kidney Foundation.

The kidneys are well known as the body’s chemical factories that filter and eliminate toxins. What many people do not know, is that the kidneys also play a key role in the following functions [1]:

  • Remove waste products from the body.
  • Balance the body’s fluids.
  • Release hormones that regulate blood pressure.
  • Produce an active form of vitamin D that promotes strong, healthy bones.
  • Control the production of red blood cells.

In other words: when your kidneys do not perform at their best, your entire body may be affected. According to the National Kidney Foundation [2] :

30 million American adults are estimated to have chronic kidney disease, and most aren’t aware of it. 1 in 3 American adults are at risk for kidney disease.

For this reason, we highly recommend to specifically ask your doctor to test your kidney function as a part of your annual checkup.

  • Squeeze the juice of 1 organic lemon.
  • Add to 1 liter of distilled or spring water.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of organic raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.
  • Shake and refrigerate, store in a glass bottle.
  • Drink in the morning and throughout the day.
  • Serving size is 1 cup (8 oz, 250 ml) each time, up to four times a day. Always drink on an empty stomach, one hour before or after other meals or drinks.

Kidney cleanse herbs: for added benefit, we recommend to add Renaltrex, Dr. Group’s liquid kidney cleanse herbs complex. Mix 4 full droppers to each 1 cup of the kidney cleanse drink.

How Does The Kidney Cleanse Drink Work?

  • Water.
The main function of the kidneys is to filter waste products and extra fluids and flush them from the body as urine. To do that effectively, the kidneys need enough water. For this reason, the most important step in a kidney cleanse is to drink enough liquids. The current guideline for total water intake for young men and women (ages 19 to 30 years) is 3.7 L and 2.7 L per day, respectively [3].
When you do a kidney cleanse, you may find that you need to drink even more. In General, you should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.
  • Lemon juice.
Lemon juice is an excellent natural source of citric acid. According to research, drinks that contain citric acid can help to increase urinary citrate excretion, which is a primary focus in the medical management of kidney stones. [4].
  • Apple cider vinegar.
ACV is known to promote an alkaline environment inside the body, which can alter the acidity in the urine. This can help the kidneys to better pass toxins, and may also prevent the formation of kidney stones. A study that evaluated the connection between the dietary habits of 12,570 adults to kidney stones in china, found that more consumption of tea, legumes, and fermented vinegar was associated with a lesser risk of kidney stone formation [5].

Kidney Cleanse Juice

Kidney Cleanse Juice

This kidney cleanse juice recipe is another effective way to flush your kidneys and support the detox process. The main difference between this juice to the kidney cleanse drink, is that the juice provides your body much more nutrients. Especially essential electrolytes and minerals that can help hydrate and support healthy fluid balance.

The juice form makes it easier for the body to quickly digest and absorb the nutrients. It also gives your digestive system a break from having to constantly digest solid foods.

It is best to drink the juice on an empty stomach, when you still didn’t eat solid foods that day.

  • Ingredients: 2 celery stalks, 2 medium carrots, 4 cucumbers, 1 beet, 1 apple, 1 orange.
  • Directions: Peel the beetroot. Run the celery, carrots, cucumbers, beet, apple and orange through a juicer. Drink immediately.

See the complete recipe for the nutritional facts, additional tips and FAQ.

Don’t have time to make the kidney cleanse juice?

Another great option is to eat fresh ripe fruits with high water content. Watermelon, melons, cantaloupe, grapefruits, oranges, grapes are excellent choices. Always eat fruits on an empty stomach, when you still didn’t eat solid foods that day.

Kidney Cleanse Smoothie

Ingredients: 1 cup of water (or less), 4 medium cucumbers with the skin, 2 cups of fresh pineapple chunks, stevia vanilla flavor (optional).

Kidney Cleanse Smoothie : Top Tips from our members

The kidney cleanse smoothie is a very tasty smoothie many people love. It also makes an excellent base for many other healthy smoothies recipes.

Since we published the recipe, we got many tips of how to make it even better.

  • Can’t get fresh pineapple?
Other fresh berries such as blueberries, strawberries work great as well. You can also use frozen pineapple or berries.
  • Need a little more sweetness?
Add a few drops of stevia with vanilla flavor. We got this tip from many of our members, and liked the flavor as well when we tested the new recipe. When it comes to stevia, little goes a long way. All you need is a few drops. The vanilla flavor compliments very well the pineapple and cucumbers flavor.
  • Do you like cinnamon?
Sprinkle a dash into the mix. This works very well.

Kidney Cleanse Tea

Kidney Cleanse Tea

The kidney cleanse tea is optional in the protocol, with most people prefer to drink the kidney cleanse tea during the winter, when there is a need to drink something hot.

The homemade kidney cleanse tea recipe uses kidney cleansing herbs and foods known to enhance the kidneys ability to naturally cleanse, detox and flush unwanted substances.

Ingredients: spring water, dandelion, turmeric, lemon, black pepper, honey, stevia.
See the recipe for the complete directions.

Kidney Cleanse Diet

Often overlooked, the kidney cleanse diet can help to boost the results and benefits of the cleanse. The diet focuses on kidney cleansing foods, but also limits foods or drinks that are high in toxins that can cause the kidneys to work harder in order to filter these toxins.

Here are the top guidelines for the kidney cleanse diet:

  1. Eat foods with high water content. Fresh juicy fruits and veggies are excellent choices.
  2. Limit sodium consumption.
  3. Limit dry foods during the kidney cleanse.
  4. Other problematic foods and drinks you may want to avoid eating during the cleanse include: processed foods, meat, dairy, alcohol, beverages, and other artificial drinks.

Kidney Cleanse Meal

Kidney Cleanse Meal detox salad recipe

One of our favorite meals to eat for the kidney cleanse diet, is our famous colon cleanse detox salad (see recipe).

The detox salad is a complete meal using kidney cleansing foods designed to further support the detox process and provide your body with essential nutrients and calories. After drinking liquids all day, the detox salad recipe will make you feel satisfied, happy and full.

Colon cleansing wise, as we mentioned in many of our body cleanses, the body eliminate toxins released during the cleanse through the urine and also through bowel movements. For this reason, you want to make sure your colon doesn’t have accumulated waste buildup that can make the elimination through the colon slower.

Kidney Cleanse Supplements & Herbs

Many kidney cleanse supplements contain herbs known to cleanse, detox and support healthy kidney and bladder function. Some of the herbs can be very effective to detox the kidneys, others have very little evidence on their safety or effectiveness.

The top kidney cleanse herbs that do have evidence as both safe and effective include chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri), uva ursi (bearberry, arctostaphylos), hydrangea, goldenrod (solidago), horsetail (equisetum arvense), and marshmallow (mallow root).

When it comes to kidney cleansing herbs, it is always best to use fresh herbs from a trusted source. Getting fresh high quality kidney cleansing herbs, however, is not always possible. If that’s the case, we recommend to use alcohol free liquid tinctures that contain active extracts of the kidney cleanse herbs. The benefit of using the liquid form is improved absorption and solubility in the body, along with the ease of use. You can easily mix it with water, teas or other detox or kidney cleansing drinks.

A good example is Renaltrex by Dr. Group’s, which is the liquid kidney cleanse herbs complex we use in our kidney cleanse drink.

Recommendation:  Marshmallow root offers a safe and effective way to promote kidney and urinary tract health. Based on our experience, using Marshmallow root can enhance the effects other kidney cleansing herbs.

Dandelion

Main benefits: diuretic.

Dandelion kidney cleanse herb

One famous kidney cleanse herb you can actually get fresh at the stores is Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale).

Due to its potent natural diuretic properties and high availability, you can find dandelion in many kidney cleanse products. Both in supplements and tea forms.

The historical evidence of using dandelion as a natural diuretic takes us over 2000 years back, seen in both traditional chinese and ayurvedic medicine. Human studies also support the benefits of dandelion for kidney health. As research data suggests, consuming a fresh leaf extract of dandelion increases the frequency of urination [7].

We like to use dandelions in kidney cleanse recipes, especially teas. A good example is our Dandelion Turmeric Lemon Kidney Cleanse Tea (see recipe).
