How To Drink The Kidney Cleanse Tea
When you do a kidney cleanse, it is very important to drink enough liquids to support the cleansing process. A good indication that you drink enough is that you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color. For this reason, we recommend to use 4 cups of water in the kidney cleanse tea recipe.
If you find that the tea taste is weak, reduce the amount of water to 2 cups. Another option to use this kidney cleanse tea is as a base to other drinks: dilute the tea further with more water or add to other drinks. Consume the drink throughout the day. This may be a better option during the summer.
Kidney Cleanse Protocol
The idea of the kidney cleanse is simple: you start your day with a liquid diet: kidney cleanse drink for breakfast, and juice for lunch. You have a kidney cleanse smoothie for the afternoon and eat a kidney cleansing meal for dinner. See the complete protocol.
The Ingredients In The Kidney Cleanse Tea
Lemon juice is an excellent natural source of citric acid. According to research, drinks that contain citric acid can help to increase urinary citrate excretion, which is a primary focus in the medical management of kidney stones. [1].
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) has a long history of use as a diuretic to enhance the natural elimination of fluids by the kidneys. This historical evidence takes us back for over 2000, seen in both traditional chinese and ayurvedic medicine. Human studies also support the benefits of dandelion for kidney health. As research data suggests, consuming a fresh leaf extract of dandelion increases the frequency of urination [2].
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties with a long history of traditional use that is also supported by many studies. According to research data, curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, may help to reduce harmful molecules that can lead to inflammation in chronic kidney disease. [3].
Black pepper’s major active component, piperine, is known for its ability to enhance the bioavailability of curcumin along with other herbs and spices. This combination has a long traditional use that is also backed up by science. According to one study, piperine increased the bioavailability of curcumin by 2000%. [4].
Hydration & Kidney Cleanse
The kidneys main function is to filter and remove waste products and extra fluid and flush them from the body as urine. To do that effectively, the kidneys need enough water.
For this reason, the most important step in a kidney cleanse, is proper hydration. The current guideline for total water intake for young men and women (ages 19 to 30 years) is 3.7 L and 2.7 L per day, respectively [5].
When you do a kidney cleanse, however, you may find that you need to drink more. In General, you should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.
FAQ: Using Additional Kidney Cleanse Herbs In Your Tea
There are a number of known kidney cleanse herbs that can further improve the kidney cleanse due to some unique properties. For this reason, many kidney cleanse teas and drinks contain herbs known to cleanse, detox and support healthy kidney and bladder function.
Common kidney cleanse herbs may include: chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri), uva ursi (bearberry, arctostaphylos), hydrangea, goldenrod (solidago), horsetail (equisetum arvense) and marshmallow (mallow root) herbs have a long history of traditional use that is also backed up by science.
Getting fresh high quality kidney cleansing herbs however, is not always possible. If that’s the case, we recommend to use alcohol free liquid tinctures that contain the active extracts of these herbs. The benefit of using the liquid form is improved absorption and solubility in the body, along with the ease of use. You can easily mix it with water, teas or other detox or kidney cleansing drinks.
A good example we use in our kidney cleanse protocol, is Renaltrex by Dr. Edward Group. You can add 4 full droppers to each 1 cup of the kidney cleanse tea just before you drink it.
The kidney cleanse protocol below is one of the best ways to naturally detox and flush your kidneys at home.
Special consideration was given in the protocol to both effectiveness and safety in order to avoid any kidney detox symptoms and side effects. Safety should always comes first. Especially when you naturally cleanse at home.
Based on the many requests we get, we gathered all the kidney detox protocol information, recipes, faq and suggestions in this post, to make it easier for you to use as a reference when needed.
During The Day: kidney cleanse drink, kidney cleanse tea (optional).
Is The Kidney Cleanse Good For Me?
Kidney cleansing offers an effective, safe, all natural way to support healthy kidney function and helps the body to detox and flush the kidneys. The protocol only uses natural whole foods, herbs and home remedies. Many people like to also incorporate many of these recipes in their daily life to support overall good health.
We recommend to always check with your doctor before you start this protocol, or in fact do any cleanse. Specifically to the kidney cleanse, if you think you have an issue with your kidneys, have any medical/health concern, or currently take any medication, speak with your doctor before you do the cleanse.
Kidney Cleansing Benefits
The most common benefit people report during the cleanse, is significantly less water retention. Especially in the midsection, feet, ankles, legs and face. Many people notice their skin looks better, more tight, and that it is easier for them to walk and exercise.
A lot of people who do this cleanse for the first time, are surprised to learn how much excess fluids their body used to hold.
These results are not surprising, considering that the kidneys play a key role in removing toxins and regulating water balance in the body.
The Importance Of Cleansing Your Kidneys
Source: The National Kidney Foundation.
The kidneys are well known as the body’s chemical factories that filter and eliminate toxins. What many people do not know, is that the kidneys also play a key role in the following functions [1]:
Remove waste products from the body.
Balance the body’s fluids.
Release hormones that regulate blood pressure.
Produce an active form of vitamin D that promotes strong, healthy bones.
Control the production of red blood cells.
In other words: when your kidneys do not perform at their best, your entire body may be affected. According to the National Kidney Foundation [2] :
30 million American adults are estimated to have chronic kidney disease, and most aren’t aware of it. 1 in 3 American adults are at risk for kidney disease.
For this reason, we highly recommend to specifically ask your doctor to test your kidney function as a part of your annual checkup.
Kidney Cleanse Recipes
Below are the main recipes of the kidney detox protocol.
Kidney Cleanse Drink
The first step of the kidney cleanse, is the kidney cleanse drink. Healthy, easy to make, effective, and safe, it is one of the best home remedies you can make to naturally detox and flush your kidneys.
Directions:
Squeeze the juice of 1 organic lemon.
Add to 1 liter of distilled or spring water.
Add 1 tablespoon of organic raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar.
Shake and refrigerate, store in a glass bottle.
Drink in the morning and throughout the day.
Serving size is 1 cup (8 oz, 250 ml) each time, up to four times a day. Always drink on an empty stomach, one hour before or after other meals or drinks.
Kidney cleanse herbs: for added benefit, we recommend to add Renaltrex, Dr. Group’s liquid kidney cleanse herbs complex. Mix 4 full droppers to each 1 cup of the kidney cleanse drink.
How Does The Kidney Cleanse Drink Work?
Water. The main function of the kidneys is to filter waste products and extra fluids and flush them from the body as urine. To do that effectively, the kidneys need enough water. For this reason, the most important step in a kidney cleanse is to drink enough liquids. The current guideline for total water intake for young men and women (ages 19 to 30 years) is 3.7 L and 2.7 L per day, respectively [3]. When you do a kidney cleanse, you may find that you need to drink even more. In General, you should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.
Lemon juice. Lemon juice is an excellent natural source of citric acid. According to research, drinks that contain citric acid can help to increase urinary citrate excretion, which is a primary focus in the medical management of kidney stones. [4].
Apple cider vinegar. ACV is known to promote an alkaline environment inside the body, which can alter the acidity in the urine. This can help the kidneys to better pass toxins, and may also prevent the formation of kidney stones. A study that evaluated the connection between the dietary habits of 12,570 adults to kidney stones in china, found that more consumption of tea, legumes, and fermented vinegar was associated with a lesser risk of kidney stone formation [5].
Kidney Cleanse Juice
This kidney cleanse juice recipe is another effective way to flush your kidneys and support the detox process. The main difference between this juice to the kidney cleanse drink, is that the juice provides your body much more nutrients. Especially essential electrolytes and minerals that can help hydrate and support healthy fluid balance.
The juice form makes it easier for the body to quickly digest and absorb the nutrients. It also gives your digestive system a break from having to constantly digest solid foods.
It is best to drink the juice on an empty stomach, when you still didn’t eat solid foods that day.
Another great option is to eat fresh ripe fruits with high water content. Watermelon, melons, cantaloupe, grapefruits, oranges, grapes are excellent choices. Always eat fruits on an empty stomach, when you still didn’t eat solid foods that day.
Kidney Cleanse Smoothie
The purpose of the kidney cleanse smoothie is to continue and detox your kidneys, while also provide fluids, electrolytes, minerals and essential nutrients to your body. The consistency of this smoothie is much thicker than the kidney cleanse juice, which many people enjoy. Especially considering the high amount of liquids you already had from the kidney cleanse drink and juice.
Ingredients: 1 cup of water (or less), 4 medium cucumbers with the skin, 2 cups of fresh pineapple chunks, stevia vanilla flavor (optional).
Kidney Cleanse Smoothie : Top Tips from our members
The kidney cleanse smoothie is a very tasty smoothie many people love. It also makes an excellent base for many other healthy smoothies recipes.
Since we published the recipe, we got many tips of how to make it even better.
Can’t get fresh pineapple? Other fresh berries such as blueberries, strawberries work great as well. You can also use frozen pineapple or berries.
Need a little more sweetness? Add a few drops of stevia with vanilla flavor. We got this tip from many of our members, and liked the flavor as well when we tested the new recipe. When it comes to stevia, little goes a long way. All you need is a few drops. The vanilla flavor compliments very well the pineapple and cucumbers flavor.
Do you like cinnamon? Sprinkle a dash into the mix. This works very well.
Kidney Cleanse Tea
The kidney cleanse tea is optional in the protocol, with most people prefer to drink the kidney cleanse tea during the winter, when there is a need to drink something hot.
The homemade kidney cleanse tea recipe uses kidney cleansing herbs and foods known to enhance the kidneys ability to naturally cleanse, detox and flush unwanted substances.
Ingredients: spring water, dandelion, turmeric, lemon, black pepper, honey, stevia. See the recipe for the complete directions.
Kidney Cleanse Diet
Often overlooked, the kidney cleanse diet can help to boost the results and benefits of the cleanse. The diet focuses on kidney cleansing foods, but also limits foods or drinks that are high in toxins that can cause the kidneys to work harder in order to filter these toxins.
Here are the top guidelines for the kidney cleanse diet:
Eat foods with high water content. Fresh juicy fruits and veggies are excellent choices.
Limit sodium consumption.
Limit dry foods during the kidney cleanse.
Other problematic foods and drinks you may want to avoid eating during the cleanse include: processed foods, meat, dairy, alcohol, beverages, and other artificial drinks.
Kidney Cleanse Meal
One of our favorite meals to eat for the kidney cleanse diet, is our famous colon cleanse detox salad (see recipe).
The detox salad is a complete meal using kidney cleansing foods designed to further support the detox process and provide your body with essential nutrients and calories. After drinking liquids all day, the detox salad recipe will make you feel satisfied, happy and full.
Colon cleansing wise, as we mentioned in many of our body cleanses, the body eliminate toxins released during the cleanse through the urine and also through bowel movements. For this reason, you want to make sure your colon doesn’t have accumulated waste buildup that can make the elimination through the colon slower.
Kidney Cleanse Supplements & Herbs
Many kidney cleanse supplements contain herbs known to cleanse, detox and support healthy kidney and bladder function. Some of the herbs can be very effective to detox the kidneys, others have very little evidence on their safety or effectiveness.
The top kidney cleanse herbs that do have evidence as both safe and effective include chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri), uva ursi (bearberry, arctostaphylos), hydrangea, goldenrod (solidago), horsetail (equisetum arvense), and marshmallow (mallow root).
When it comes to kidney cleansing herbs, it is always best to use fresh herbs from a trusted source. Getting fresh high quality kidney cleansing herbs, however, is not always possible. If that’s the case, we recommend to use alcohol free liquid tinctures that contain active extracts of the kidney cleanse herbs. The benefit of using the liquid form is improved absorption and solubility in the body, along with the ease of use. You can easily mix it with water, teas or other detox or kidney cleansing drinks.
A good example is Renaltrex by Dr. Group’s, which is the liquid kidney cleanse herbs complex we use in our kidney cleanse drink.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) is well known for its natural ability to cleanse, detox and enhance the body’s ability to naturally flush out toxins. For this reason, you can find ACV in most liver detox drink, (and in fact in any cleanse drink recipes).
The research data also supports the liver cleansing benefits of apple cider vinegar. One study evaluated the effect of apple cider vinegar on mice that were fed with a high cholesterol diet. The results suggest that apple cider vinegar was able to protect the kidneys and liver from an oxidative injury [1].
Another study also supported these findings, and suggested that apple cider vinegar was able to regulate lipid metabolism and decrease liver damage in rats that were fed with a high fat diet [2].
Lemon Juice
Drinking lemon juice in warm water is a known ayurvedic practice that has a long traditional use. Natural, safe and effective, this simple home remedy can help the body to cleanse, detox and stimulate digestion.
The liver cleansing benefits of lemon juice are also supported by modern science. The research suggests that lemon juice can regulate elevated levels of serum ALT and AST liver enzymes as well as triacylglycerol and lipid peroxidation in the liver [3].
Liver Herbs
There are a number of herbs that can further improve the liver cleanse results due to some unique properties. Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) for example, may help to repair and regenerate the liver. Chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri), also known as stonebreaker, can dissolve and soften liver and gallbladder stones (gallstones).
For best results, always get your liver herbs from a trusted source. You want to make sure you use high quality fresh herbs (ideally organic or wildcrafted). For the ease of use and to improve the absorption in the body, it is best to use these herbs in an alcohol free liquid formula.
In our liver cleanse protocol we use Dr. Group’s LivaTrex liquid liver herbs formula. Simply add 4 full droppers with the liver detox drink recipe.
Liver Cleanse Juice
This Liver cleanse juice (see recipe) is another effective way to cleanse and your liver and support the detox process. The main difference between the juice to the liver detox drink, is that the juice provides your body much more nutrients. Liver Cleanse Drink
The first step to detox your liver is to make the the liver cleanse drink. Healthy, easy to make, effective, and safe, it is one of the best liver detox home remedies you can do to naturally cleanse, flush and detox your liver.
According to the evidence, the ingredients in this recipe may also help the body to repair and regenerate the liver, as well as to dissolve and soften liver and gallbladder stones (gallstones). See the complete recipe.
Ingredients: apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and liver herbs.
When to drink: drink first thing in the morning and up to four times a day. Always drink on an empty stomach, one hour before or after other meals or drinks.
Liver Cleanse Juice
The second step to detox your liver, which is also an easy quick way to provide your body with many liver cleansing foods and nutrients, is the liver cleansing juice.
The nutritional profile of this juice is exceptional. This goes above the liver cleanse protocol. You can actually feel the difference. For this reason, many of our members who were so impressed with how this juice made them feel, decided to drink it on an ongoing basis. See the complete recipe.
When to drink: drink the juice on an empty stomach, when you still didn’t eat solid foods that day. Ideally 1-2 hours after you had your liver cleanse drink.
Liver Cleanse Diet
The liver cleanse diet plays a key role in the liver detox plan; you want to choose the best detoxing foods for the liver, and also avoid problematic foods that are bad for liver.
As most studies and health experts suggest, when it comes to a healthy diet for the liver, it is really important to avoid the foods that are known to damage or stress the liver. The last thing you want to do when you detox your liver, is to add more toxins from bad eating.
Foods To Avoid During Your Liver Detox
Foods to avoid while you detox your liver include processed sugars, fried foods, flour, dairy, wheat, gluten, processed foods, greasy food, food high in cholesterol or trans fatty acids.
Drinks to avoid: include sugary beverages, stimulants, alcohol. We also recommended to watch for artificial sweeteners or high-fructose corn syrup we often see in so called healthy bars.
For best results, try to avoid large meals and overeating, as these can stress your liver and body.
Most people have no problems giving up dairy during the liver cleanse. If you do find it hard, however, you may want to consider pure unsweetened plant based milks. Good options are coconut milk, almond milk, cashews milk, hemp milk. Just read the label and watch for artificial ingredients or extra sugars. Plant based milks are not always healthy. Not surprisingly, you can usually find the better options stored in the refrigerator.
Liver Cleansing Foods
We get a lot of questions on the liver cleanse diet, as there are so many options you can choose from. You don’t have to eat all of the liver detox foods of course. It is best to choose the ones you enjoy the most that agree with your body and taste buds.
The list of common liver cleansing foods to include on the liver cleanse diet:
Fruits: apples, lemon and other citrus, blueberries.
Greens: spinach and all leafy greens. Especially dark leafy greens.
Oils: extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil.
Fats: avocado, raw nuts & walnuts.
Spices: turmeric, garlic, ginger, cinnamon.
Vinegar: apple cider vinegar.
To help you choose the best foods to support your liver detox, we wrote the Detoxing Foods For The Liver guide. We focused on the most common detoxing foods for the liver you can easily get in your local store. Read the guide.
Liver Cleansing Herbs
There are a number of known liver cleansing herbs that can further improve the liver detox due to some unique properties.
Dr. Group’s Livatrex is the liquid liver herbs formula we use in liver cleanse protocol.
Directions: to use the liver cleanse herbs, we recommend to add 4 full droppers to the liver cleanse drink, up to four times a day, during the liver cleanse.
Liver Detox Tea
Homemade liver cleanse drinks, juices and smoothies can offer a great natural way to detox your liver. In the winter, however, you may prefer to also drink something hot during the liver cleanse.
For this reason, hot liver detox teas complement very well the liver cleanse. As a part of our liver detox protocol, we spent a lot of time researching for the best liver detox tea remedies and recipes. We looked into historical traditional use, modern research data, reviews, benefits and side effects.
The liver detox tea recipe offers a great natural way to support your liver and gallbladder health. We focused on safe and effective ingredients you can easily find at your local store. See the complete recipe.
Ingredients: lemon, ginger root, cloves, cinnamon, raw honey, stevia.
When to drink: drink the tea anytime during the day as a part of your liver flush or cleanse, or by itself as a natural way to support liver and gallbladder health.
The Liver And Gallbladder Flush
Many liver detox and cleanse protocols, suggest to also do a liver flush day at the last day of the cleanse. This protocol became famous after the late Dr. Hulda Clark published it as a part of her natural liver cleanse plan.
According to the liver flush protocol:
For 5 days you consume liver cleansing foods and drinks.
Day 6 (flush day): you stop to eat after 2PM, take epsom salt laxatives, and drink a large amount of olive oil mixed with citrus juice before bedtime. How much oil? according to most protocols, you mix ½ cup olive oil (108 grams of fat) with ½ – ¾ fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.
As for the claims, this protocol may help the body to flush out gallstones and other toxins from the liver and gallbladder.
The Liver And Gallbladder Flush : Evidence
Many people who follow the liver flush protocol report they passed many green-brown stones with their bowel movements.
Are these gallstones though?
Research data is lacking in this area. A few researchers who tested the stones one patient passed, concluded they were not gallstones, but were caused by the olive oil and lemon.
Anecdotal evidence, however, including testimonials and reviews suggest that many people do feel much better after the liver and gallbladder flush. Is it just a placebo effect, or is there’s something into it?
Our Experience With The Liver And Gallbladder Flush
The liver and gallbladder flush protocol is not an easy protocol to do.
People who have prior experience with different body cleanses are usually ok with it. Other people who are just starting their body cleansing experience, however, may benefit much more from doing the liver cleanse protocol without the flush.
What do we mean when we say not an easy protocol? A few examples of things to expect the first time you follow Dr. Hulda Clark liver flush (or similar protocols):
You are required to take laxatives (epsom salts), so you constantly have to go to the bathroom.
After you drink the olive oil – citrus combination, many people don’t feel so good. A lot of people find it hard to sleep that night. Important: these discomforts are not signs of liver detox working, or that you are healing. You do not need to feel bad in order to feel good.
Most of the benefits people report are achieved only after they did multiple liver flushes.

The smoothie provides you with much more fiber than the lung cleanse juice. Around 50% of the recommended dietary allowance (RDA). As research suggests, a diet rich in fiber-containing foods may play a role in improving lung health [2].
In addition to its high fiber content, the lung detox smoothie also provides your body a few unique lung cleansing nutrients with potent lung detoxifying properties such as pineapple bromelain, apple quercetin and berries anthocyanins [3].

Lung Cleanse Tea
The Lung cleansing tea recipe is designed to support normal lung and respiratory system function, using natural lung cleansing foods and herbs you can easily find at your local store. See the complete recipe.
The lung cleansing tea is one of our most popular home remedies to clean lungs, especially during the winter. Based on the many suggestions and comments we have received over the years, there are two versions of the tea you can make: the original, and the golden milk with the addition of coconut milk.
Ingredients: water, ginger root, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, coconut milk, raw local honey, stevia.
When to drink: drink the tea anytime during the day as a part of your lung cleansing, or by itself as a natural way to clean your lungs and support your respiratory health.
Lung Cleansing Herbs
There are a number of known lung cleansing herbs that can further improve the lung cleanse due to some unique properties in them.
Peppermint (mentha piperita) for example, has a long history of traditional use to support respiratory health. A few studies suggest that peppermint essential oil can improve respiratory function, increase brain oxygen concentration, and may help to relax the airway and bronchial smooth muscle tonicity [4,5].
Plantain leaf (Plantago major) is another example of a popular lung cleansing herb, that is commonly used to treat respiratory diseases [6]. Research data suggests that Plantain leaf may have a safe and effective anti-inflammatory effect against upper respiratory tract infections [7].
For best results, always get your lung cleansing herbs from a trusted source. You want to make sure you use high quality fresh herbs (ideally organic or wildcrafted) that are well suitable for the purpose of cleansing and detoxifying lungs.
Dr. Group’s Allertrex is the lung cleanse herbal spray we use in our lung cleanse protocol.
Directions: Spray into mouth, inhale deeply three times, then swallow remaining liquid. Repeat three times daily during your lung cleanse.
Breathing Exercises & Lung Cleansing
The connection between exercise and better lung health is well known and supported by the medical community [8, 9]. What is even more interesting, is that the research data also suggests that a simple breathing exercise such as balloon blowing, can increase the respiratory muscles strength and promote better lung function [10].
This is very important. Many health experts believe that most people do not breathe deep enough. This shallow breathing is very common, and something that we highly recommend to address during the lung cleanse.
All it takes is a few minutes of deep breathing, two to three times a day:
Find a quiet place with a good flow of fresh clean air.
Sit comfortably, close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
Slowly inhale through your nose for, and allow the air fill your lungs and stomach.
Slowly exhale until all the air is out.
Repeat for one to two minutes.
Many of our members like to use Dr. Group’s Allertrex Lung Cleanser when they complete this exercise.
Lung Cleansing Foods
When it comes to foods for lung function and respiratory health, the research data is quite remarkable. Certain foods have the ability to naturally cleanse, detox and clean your lungs. The diet you eat can improve your breathing, repair and heal lung damage, and decrease your risk to develop lung disease.
You don’t have to eat all of the lung cleansing foods of course. It is best to choose the ones you enjoy the most that agree with your body and taste buds.
The list of common foods for lung health you can easily find at your local store:
To help you choose the best foods for your lung cleanse, we wrote an entire guide on this topic. We also included all the relevant science and suggestions. Read the guide.
Foods That Are Bad For The Lungs
During the lung cleanse we highly recommend to limit problematic foods that are known to increase mucus production or to introduce more toxins into your body.
For best results, try to avoid large meals and overeating, as these can stress your lungs and body.
The main foods you want to avoid or limit during the lung cleanse:
Dairy
Excessive milk consumption can increase the production of mucus in the respiratory tract [11]. According to the U.S. national library of medicine, 65% of the human population has a reduced ability to digest lactose after infancy [12].
For this reason, we highly recommend to eliminate all dairy products during the lung cleanse.
Common Allergens
Commonly known allergens, especially peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, fish, shellfish may cause a response in the body that can also affect the respiratory system.
If you suspect you have a reaction to these foods, we highly recommend that you eliminate the food you suspect during the lung cleanse.
Sodium & Salt
If you eat too much sodium, and notice you have water retention issues, you may want to switch to a healthier natural salt such as himalayan pink salt, and also reduce the amount of salt as this may impair your ability to breathe.
You started your parasite cleanse, and notice parasite cleanse side effects. You are not alone. Common parasite die off symptoms may occur as parasites start to die during the cleanse. These symptoms can affect your entire body and your well-being. Very often, they change the way you feel.
Common parasite cleanse side effects may include: skin itching, rashes, flu-like symptoms, fever, headache, weakness, fatigue, nausea, body aches and pain, digestive issues such as diarrhea, bloating, gas, cramps, stomach pain, tenderness, excess mucus, breathing problems, and even vomiting. Some people also feel anxiety, depression, brain fog and additional mind – balance symptoms.
What Do Parasite Die Off Symptoms Mean
Parasite cleanse side effects do not mean that the parasite cleanse is working. This is a common misconception that is simply not true.
When you experience parasite side effects, it may indicate that the amount of toxins released by the dying parasites is more than what your body can safely handle. If you use antiparasitic herbs or supplements, it may also mean that you may have a reaction to these herbs. Natural doesn’t always mean safe.
We get many questions on the healing crises topic. The answer is no. Most parasite cleanse side effects are unnecessary and you should avoid them with proper attention.
Furthermore, when it comes to parasite cleanse, consistency is the key:
The life cycle of human parasites varies and can take anywhere between several weeks to months from the egg phase to the adult parasite phase. The average duration of parasite cleanse we recommend is 6 weeks.
For this reason, for the best parasite cleanse benefits, consistency is the key. In order for this to happen, the parasite cleanse plan should be easy to follow, with minimal to no side effects.
Using high amount of aggressive antiparasitic herbs and foods will not shorten this time. In most cases, you will have to stop the cleanse and let your body recover, before you can start again.
How To Deal With Parasite Cleanse Side Effects
Based on our 15+ years of experience, you can prevent many parasite cleanse side effects with proper attention.
What may start as a minor issue can turn into a big healing crisis nightmare if left untreated. Sometimes you will need to stop the treatment. In other cases, you only need to reduce the intensity of the cleanse.
Here are the top guidelines and home remedies in order to prevent, minimize, and deal with parasite cleanse side effects:
Stop or Reduce Antiparasitic Herbs & Foods
This is the first step you should always consider when you experience any parasite side effects.
Reduce or stop your anti parasitic, anti fungal supplements or any other supplements you suspect that caused die off symptoms. Do not continue with these until you feel better.
If you feel that any of these symptoms compromise your quality of life or daily activities in any way, stop the cleanse and go see your doctor.
Many people are surprised to learn that their herbal tea, green drink, supplements, or other health products contain antifungal or antiparasitic herbs.
For this reason, we recommend to look at the label of these products. Common antiparasitic foods and herbs may include: pumpkin seeds, papaya seeds, garlic, black walnut, wormwood, cloves, oregano oil, grapefruit seed extract, coconut oil, olive leaf, cinnamon, thyme, diatomaceous earth, and berberine.
Each on its own may not cause a problem. Taking many different antiparasitic herbs and foods throughout the day, however, may be too much for your body to handle.
Cleanse Your Colon
During the parasite cleanse, the body eliminates many of the dead parasites and their released toxins throughout bowel movements.
For this reason, you want to make sure your colon is free of waste buildup that can slow down the elimination process, and make toxins circulate in your system longer.
Cleansing your colon is one of the most effective ways to help reduce many of the parasite cleanse side effects. Much more effective than trying to treat each symptom by itself.
We always recommend to cleanse the colon before you start the candida or parasite cleanse. When you eliminate parasites, candida and other pathogens, you want your colon and digestive tract to work effectively, so you can get rid of these as quick as possible.
A few effective ways to cleanse your colon before and during the parasite cleanse:
Colonics & Enemas can work very effectively and may provide immediate relief, especially if you have used them before, and have found them useful. If you have never used these before, we recommend to choose other less invasive options.
Oxygen colon cleanse such as the overnight colon cleanse home remedy (see recipe) releases oxygen in the colon to detoxify and loosen toxins, undigested food particles and waste buildup so the body can flush them out naturally through normal bowel movement. Most people feel a significant relief as they eliminate the stored waste, usually with signs of dead parasites in their stool. While this may not be the most pleasant thing to see, it is still much better to have these out of your body.
Kidney Support
The kidneys play a key role in the body’s ability to filter, remove and eliminate toxins and waste products throughout the urine [1].
For this reason, it is very important to drink enough water and liquids during your cleanse. You should drink enough so you have a strong urine flow, with clear urine color.
If you already experience parasite die off symptoms, you may want to reduce the intensity of the cleanse, and include one day kidney cleanse. (See protocol).
Liver Support
The liver is one of the largest organs in the body that also plays a key role in toxins elimination. The liver main function is to convert toxic substances into harmless substances or make sure they are released from the body [2].
Providing special support for the liver doesn’t always help with parasite cleanse side effects, or reduce the severity of parasite die off symptoms.
The reason you still want to include some sort of natural support for the liver during the cleanse, is mainly due the length the cleanse. Parasite cleanse does take several weeks, six weeks on average. During this time, your liver has to handle and filter large amounts of toxins released from the dying parasites.
A good practice is to combine the liver cleanse drink (see recipe) or other liver cleanse herbs, 1-2 times a week as a natural way to support liver function.
Skin : Itching, Rashes, Breakouts
Skin issues are common parasite cleanse side effects known to cause many discomforts.
If you need a relief for skin itching and rashes, there are a few natural home remedies you can try.
Applying coconut oil with aloe vera gel (inner leaf) on the affected areas may help for minor symptoms. Always test on a small part of your skin that is not affected first.
Ozonated olive oil (O2-Zap) is another wonderful home remedy that actually has quite a bit of science behind it. Multiple studies found that ozonated olive oil was able to provide relief, ease inflammation, and help the damaged tissue to heal faster. Effective and gentle enough even for sensitive causes such as gum and vaginal yeast infections [3, 4, 5, 6].
You also want to take quick showers, as these may provide a quick relief as well. Especially since the body can eliminate some toxins throughout the skin.
Lastly, since in many cases the skin is already irritated, you may find you can’t use your usual skin care products. For this reason, try to avoid or minimize the use of skin care products until your skin is healed.
Some people experience respiratory issues during the cleanse. Symptoms may include sore throat, congestion, excessive mucus and phlegm, allergies, inflamed airways and sinus infections.
For minor symptoms, you can make the lung cleanse tea (see recipe).
There are a number of known lung cleansing herbs such as peppermint, plantain leaf, eucalyptus leaf we often use as a part of our lung cleanse protocol, that can help clear, relax and ease the airways irritation. To learn more about lung cleansing herbs, see: herbs.
Well-Being : Anxiety, Stress, Fatigue, Brain Fog
Very often, an aggressive parasite cleanse can affect your well being. Symptoms may include stress, weakness, faique, anxiety, depression and mood swings. You may also notice low cognitive function, brain fog, confusion and difficulty to concentrate.
If you feel that any of these symptoms may compromise your quality of life or daily activities in any way, stop the cleanse and go see your doctor.
For minor symptoms, you may want to try non stimulant energy and stress relieving adaptogenic herbs such as ashwagandha and ginseng. A good example that includes all is Ginseng Fuzion by Dr. Group.

Antifungal: The tea uses known antifungal ingredients that have a long history of traditional use and published studies on their effectiveness against candida. (See the evidence section below).
Energy: The green tea and coconut oil combination can also provide jittery free energy. Not as potent as coffee, still a great alternative that is completely candida friendly.

Top Tip From Our Members
Cold vs. Hot: The candida tea also tastes great when it is cold, which makes it a great fit for the summer. For best results, if you plan to drink it cold, most of our members prefer it without the cinnamon. You can make more servings of the tea in advance without the coconut oil, and store the tea in the refrigerator for a few days. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil just before you drink the tea.
Like Vanilla? You may want to add a few drops of alcohol free vanilla extract, as it seems to really improve the flavor. Some stevia brands combine natural vanilla extract with the stevia drops.
More Energy: Need more energy but still want to avoid coffee? Many of our members like to add 1 dropper of Dr. Group’s Ginseng Fuzion just before they drink the tea, which includes adaptogenic herbs such as ashwagandha and ginseng. Besides its ability to naturally improve energy [1], Ginseng has demonstrated antifungal activity against Candida albicans in a few studies [2, 3] and is also well known for its ability to naturally boost the immune system [4].
What’s In My Candida Tea : Summary Of Evidence
As we mentioned, every ingredient in this recipe has a long history of traditional use and is also supported by science.
Below you will find a summary of the evidence and links to the published studies. While there are many additional benefits of course, we focused on the benefits for the candida cleanse.
Green Tea
EGCG, the most abundant catechin in green tea demonstrated antifungal activity against candida albicans in multiple studies [5, 6].
Another known health benefit of green tea, which it is important to mention. Many human studies also suggest that green tea catechins may help to reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome, such as obesity, type II diabetes, and cardiovascular risk factors [7].
What about black tea for candida? We do prefer to use green tea for candida, as it has more evidence and research data on its antifungal properties. If you prefer black tea, however, it may still provide benefits for the candida cleanse as well. According to research, black tea polyphenols also have antifungal properties that can be effective against different candida species [8].
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is well known for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties, and demonstrated significant antifungal activity against Candida albicans and other pathogens [9]. According to the evidence, capric and lauric acids, two of the medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil, are the ones mainly responsible for its ability to kill candida [10].
There’s another reason coconut oil makes such a great fit for the candida diet. Coconut oil makes an effective alternative energy source to carbs.
This helps with one of the biggest challenges with the candida diet. You have to reduce your carbs as they tend to feed candida. As a result, many people don’t have the energy they used to have.
This is where coconut oil can significantly help, as the body can quickly digest and use it to produce energy. Much easier than other fats. This is a well known use of coconut oil you can see in many low carbs dietary protocols such as keto diet, as well as in pre workout recipes.
The research data was able to validate this use as well. According to the evidence, the Medium-chain triglycerides in coconut oil (MCT oil), can increase exercise performance [11].
Cinnamon
Cinnamon has a long traditional history of use as food (spice) and medicine. According to research data, Cinnamon demonstrated potent antifungal activity against different species of candida [12, 13].
Additional studies also suggest that cinnamon intake is associated with a statistically significant decrease in fasting glucose levels [14]. This indirectly may benefit the candida diet as well, especially if you have a history of high blood sugar.
Ginger
Ginger is a well known home remedy for candida and other pathogens. According to research data, ginger demonstrated significant antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Candida Krusei yeast as well as other types of human pathogens [15, 16, 17].
There’s another reason we recommend to have ginger in the candida tea recipe. According to one study, green tea, cinnamon and ginger may work together in synergy to lower blood sugar levels after a meal. When the researchers combined all the three together they noticed the best results, better than when they tested each herb by itself [18].
Lemon
Drinking warm water with lemon juice in the morning is an ancient Ayurvedic practice to stimulate digestion and detox the body. According to research, lemon juice may also support the liver [19] and kidneys [20].
Flavor wise, lemon juice complements the green tea and ginger taste. Interestingly, is also blends very well with the cinnamon and coconut flavor.
The candida cleanse protocol below summarizes our 15 years of experience and research on candida overgrowth and natural yeast infection treatment.
The idea of the natural candida cleanse plan is simple.
You starve the yeast, make it weak by diet, foods and herbs that kill candida, and rebuild your gut health with probiotics.
The best candida cleanses always follow these three elements: starve, kill, and rebuild.
Special consideration was given in the protocol to both effectiveness and safety. So you avoid candida cleanse side effects and die off symptoms. Safety should always comes first. Especially when you naturally cleanse at home.
Best Candida Cleanse Protocol
Starve, Kill, Rebuild. The 3 steps to get rid of candida and yeast infections:
Starve the yeast : candida colon cleanse to remove waste buildup from the Intestines that feed candida. See: colon cleanse.
Kill candida with candida cleanse diet and antifungal supplements. See: diet, supplements.
Rebuild gut health with probiotics for candida. See: probiotics.
Duration: week 1 and when needed during the cleanse.
The objective of the candida colon cleanse is simple : starve the yeast.
To do so, you get rid of waste buildup and undigested food particles in your intestines that feed candida.
One of the best ways to naturally and safely cleanse the colon, is to do a natural oxygen colon cleanse (Oxy-powder). Oxy-Powder releases natural oxygen in the intestines that loosens waste buildup and undigested food particles that tend to stick to the intestinal wall. This allows the body to flush out this waste naturally through normal bowel movements.
Most people start to feel a significant relief from many of their candida symptoms as they eliminate the stored waste. Don’t be surprised if you see dead candida in your stool. This is common, as the waste buildup is the food source of candida. While this may not be the most pleasant thing to see, it is still much better to have the candida yeast out of your body.
Prevent Candida Cleanse Side Effects
There’s another reason we recommend to start the candida cleanse with the colon cleanse. During the candida cleanse, the body eliminates the dying candida and its toxic byproducts through bowel movements.
For this reason, you want to make sure your colon is free from waste buildup that can slow down the elimination process, and make toxins circulate in your system longer. Having waste buildup in the colon is one of the main reason behind the side effects and candida die off symptoms people experience during the cleanse. It just takes the body much more time to eliminate these toxins.
Candida Cleanse Diet
Duration: weeks 2-8.
The main idea behind the candida cleanse diet is to starve the yeast and make it weak. You avoid foods that can feed candida.
This is far more important than eating foods that kill candida. According to research, the carbohydrates we eat from the diet are the primary and preferred nutrient sources for candida albicans yeast [1].
For this reason, most candida cleanse diet plans and menus restrict high carb foods. You do have to make sure, however, that you starve the yeast but not yourself.
In order for the candida diet to work, you replace the carbs with enough healthy fats and proteins so you still have the energy and nutrients to support your daily activities, emotional state, and body’s needs.
Candida Cleanse Recipes
Due to their importance, we wrote an entire post on the candida cleanse recipes and diet plan, including food list, natural home remedies, diy recipes, common mistakes to avoid and the relevant scientific evidence. (Read the complete post).
Candida Supplements
Duration: weeks 2-8.
So you cut down the main food sources of candida, and made the yeast even weaker with the candida cleanse diet. Now it is time to kill candida.
There are a number of unique herbs with known antifungal properties that can kill candida very effectively. Natural antifungals are extensively studied as an alternative option for antifungal drugs. Anti candida herbs such as pau d’arco, licorice root, jatoba, and others can offer an effective and safe way to improve the natural candida cleanse results [2, 3, 4].
Not all natural antifungals, however, are safe. Some are even toxic. For this reason, and to avoid a strong reaction, we strongly recommend to get your antifungal candida supplements from a trusted source.
Dr. Group’s Mycozil is our recommended candida supplements during weeks 2-8 in our candida cleanse protocol. We have found it to be both safe and effective.
The formula combines wildcrafted and organic antifungal herbs, natural systemic enzymes that break down candida cell wall, and probiotics to help balance the candida yeast imbalance in the gut.
Directions: Take 3 capsules 2 times daily before meals. If you have never used Mycozil before, start with 1 capsule twice a day and gradually increase each day.
Probiotics For Candida
Duration: weeks 2-8.
There are two main reasons most health experts recommend to take probiotics for the candida cleanse:
Candida overgrowth and yeast infections are linked to excess candida yeast imbalances in the gut, or a compromised gut flora [5, 6].
A weak immune system is a common risk factor to develop candida overgrowth and yeast infections [7].
Probiotics supplements populate the intestines with beneficial organisms that can limit the overgrowth of candida yeast, and help the body to rebuild a healthy gut flora and strong immune system.
On a healthy state, a diet rich in fermented foods and fiber can support a healthy gut flora and candida yeast balance. When you have candida or yeast infections, however, you may want to enrich your diet with probiotic supplements.
Good options of probiotic for candida are the lactobacillus probiotic strains, that many studies found safe and effective for candida yeast infections as well as to support the immune system [8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13].
To avoid a reaction due to sensitivity to milk, we recommend to use dairy free vegan probiotics from a trusted source.
It is important that the company who makes the probiotics also guarantees their stability and potency. One study that tested 15 different probiotic supplements found that only 4 out of the 15 products met their label [14]. We have seen this many times in our research as well. These quality issues can be very frustrating.
Floratrex is our recommended probiotics for the candida cleanse. The formula combines the highly studied lactobacillus probiotic strains with inulin prebiotic. Prebiotics serve as a food source for probiotics that supports the good bacteria growth. Taking prebiotics together with probiotics is a common best practice that according to research, can enhance the effectiveness of the probiotic supplements [15, 16].
Directions: take two capsules with water 20 minutes before breakfast.
Candida Cleanse Side Effects
Candida cleanse side effects may occur when candida yeast starts to die during the cleanse. These symptoms can affect your entire body and your well-being.
Common candida die off symptoms include: skin itching, rashes, flu-like symptoms, fever, headache, weakness, fatigue, nausea, joint, muscle body aches and pain, digestive issues such as diarrhea, loose bowel movements, bloating, gas, cramps, stomach pain, tenderness, excess mucus, breathing problems, and even vomiting. Some people also feel anxiety, depression, brain fog and additional mind balance symptoms.
Healing crises or herxheimer reactions are not a sign you are healing. They do not mean that the candida cleanse is working. This is a common misconception that is simply not true.
Candida Die Off Symptoms
When you experience candida die off symptoms, it may indicate that the amount of toxins released by the dying candida is more than what your body can safely handle. If you use antifungal herbs or candida supplements, it may also mean that you have a reaction to these herbs. Natural doesn’t always mean safe.
Based on our experience, most candida cleanse side effects are unnecessary. You should avoid them with proper attention. Since this is a very common problem in both parasite and candida cleanses, we wrote an entire post on it.
Especially: how to avoid die off symptoms or minimize them in case you already experience issues. We included simple guidelines and natural home remedies we have found both effective and safe. (Read the complete post).
Candida Cleanse FAQ
Maintain Your Results After The Candida Cleanse
Many people find that a few weeks after they started the candida cleanse, they already have no symptoms. Other people may need the full eight weeks. Especially with candida symptoms that affect the nails, as these usually take longer time to heal.
The best way to maintain your results is to keep eating healthy. Work directly with your health provider if you have risk factors for candida and yeast infections, especially antibiotics, uncontrolled diabetes, or a weakened immune system [16, 17].
After the 8 weeks, or if you have no more candida symptoms:
Supplements: stop taking antifungal supplements and see how you feel. Continue to take the probiotics for the full eight weeks to support the rebuilding of your gut flora.
Diet: you can introduce slowly more foods to your diet and see how these changes make you feel. Many people notice that their taste buds completely changed and they no longer have strong desire to eat high carb foods or sweets.
Strongest Candida Killer Or Safe Antifungals?
As we have mentioned, choosing the strongest candida killer for the candida cleanse may not always be a good option.
Ideally, you want to kill candida at a pace your body can safely handle. This allows the body to naturally eliminate the excess candida yeast and restore the candida yeast balance in the gut.
This process does take time. As the body heals from the candida yeast infection and becomes stronger, you feel better with much less candida symptoms.
Try to kill candida too fast with aggressive antifungals, good chances you will experience side effects and strong candida die off symptoms. We have seen this happening too many time.
Using aggressive antifungal candida supplements will not shorten this time. In many cases, you will have to stop the cleanse and let your body recover, before you can start again. For this reason, for the best candida cleanse benefits, go for consistency and safety.
Natural Antifungals List
Many herbal teas, green powders and other non candida supplements contain common herbs with antifungal properties. On a healthy state, these products may not cause any issues. Taking some of these products during the candida cleanse, however, when you are more vulnerable to die off symptoms may cause die offs.
For this reason, it is important to look at the label of your herbal based products. Common natural antifungal herbs include oregano oil, tea tree oil, grapefruit seed extract, garlic, olive leaf, berberine, pau d’arco, caprylic acid, and coconut oil.
Essential oils and other natural extracts from foods that normally have mild antifungal properties you tolerate, may become much stronger once in a concentrated form. Common examples include cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allicin (from garlic), oregano oil and others.

To Boost Energy & Manage Stress
Many of our members like to add 1 dropper of Dr. Group’s Ginseng Fuzion just before they drink the tea, which includes the adaptogenic herbs ashwagandha and ginseng.
Ginseng is well known for its ability to naturally stimulate energy production in the muscles, improve fats metabolism, and reduce appetite [4,5] .
Several studies found that ashwagandha can decrease body fat, increase lean muscle mass, support healthy body weight management and reduce stress and anxiety [6,7].
Keto or Low Carb Diet : Coconut Oil

According to research, the body can quickly digest and use the coconut oil to produce energy. Taken before a workout, some evidence suggests that the MCT oils in coconut oil may also increase exercise performance [8].
If this is the first time you have coconut oil as a part of a drink, start with 1 teaspoon first in this recipe.
Detox Tea & Turmeric
While this may sound surprising, a lot of our members also like to add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder to the hot detox tea recipe.
Turmeric for weight loss?
Multiple studies found that Curcumin, the main active compound of turmeric can reduce inflammation in the body, detox and cleanse the liver and kidneys [9,10,11].
Due to curcumin’s potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, many researchers also believe it may indirectly influence weight management as well [12,13].
Turmeric has a very distinct taste that not everyone likes. For this reason, if you are not a big fan of the way turmeric tastes, you may want to not include it as a part of this recipe.
If on the other hand, you like turmeric, you may want to also combine it with black pepper. According to research, piperine, the major active component in black pepper, can enhance the bioavailability of curcumin. This combination has a long traditional use that is also backed up by science. According to one study, piperine increased the bioavailability of curcumin by 2000%. [14].
Best Tea Detoxes For Weight Loss : Main Ingredients
Green Tea Weight Loss
Main benefits: promotes fat loss, suppresses appetite.
There’s a good reason why the best tea detoxes for weight loss usually contain green tea. Multiple studies found that green tea can increase energy expenditure and fat oxidation at rest and during exercise, promote weight loss and improve insulin sensitivity [15, 16].
According to research, green tea weight loss benefits are due to two components in green tea: catechins polyphenols, and caffeine. The researchers believe that both the catechins and caffeine in green tea work in synergy together to decrease body weight more effectively than each of these alone [17,18,19].
For this reason, for best weight loss benefits, we prefer unprocessed green tea with naturally occurring caffeine, over decaffeinated green tea.
Additional evidence also suggests that green tea may be able to suppress the hunger hormone, ghrelin. This can be very beneficial, since when ghrelin is high, then you are hungrier [20,21].
If you prefer to drink oolong tea instead of green tea, the research data also suggests you may still get some weight loss benefits [22]. We recommend to stick with green tea though, as the number of evidence for its weight loss benefits is higher.
Multiple studies suggest that ginger and its major constituents have the ability to reduce body weight, supress hunger, and improve glucose levels and insulin sensitivity [23,24,25,26].
Another reason you may find ginger as a key ingredient in many detox teas, is that ginger is well known as a natural traditional remedy for digestive issues such as constipation, bloating, excess gas, indigestion, nausea and vomiting [27].
Furthermore, ginger may also help to naturally detox and cleanse the kidneys and liver. According to research, ginger has the ability to protect kidneys from different toxins, regulate liver enzymes, control liver inflammation and reduce the risk to develop nonalcoholic fatty liver disease [28,29,30].
Lemon Juice
Main benefits: stimulates digestion, detoxes and cleanses the body.
Drinking warm water with lemon juice in the morning is an ancient ayurvedic practice to stimulate digestion and detox the body. According to research, lemon juice may also support the liver and kidneys [31,32].
Some evidence suggests that lemon polyphenols can modulate lipid metabolism and therefore may help to suppress body weight gain [33]. Most health experts and nutrition experts, however, do not consider lemon juice as an effective weight loss tool.
For this reason, the main reason we still recommend to include lemon juice as a part of the detox tea recipe, is due to its cleansing and detoxifying benefits.
Cayenne Pepper
Main benefits: boosts metabolism, suppresses appetite.
Multiple studies suggest that capsaicin, the active components responsible for the spiciness of cayenne pepper, has the potential to boost metabolism, increase thermogenesis and lipid oxidation, suppress appetite, and boost the metabolism [34,35,36,37].
In this detox tea recipe, however, we have cayenne pepper as an optional ingredient. The reason is that not everyone can tolerate cayenne pepper in a drink.
A lot of people do enjoy the cayenne kick flavor. Quite a few people, however, experience stomach pain after they add cayenne pepper to the detox tea. For this reason, if you want to try the cayenne pepper option, start with just a dash to see if you can tolerate the cayenne on an empty stomach.
Goji Berries
Main benefits: detoxes and cleanse liver & kidneys, supports healthy weight loss and vision, anti-aging.
Goji berries or wolfberries (Lycium barbarum) are ones of the best known and admired berries in the traditional chinese medicine. According to the evidence, for more than 2000 years, goji berries have been used to detox and cleanse the liver and kidneys, control weight, support healthy vision and promote anti-aging [38].
Modern science found that the active polysaccharides in goji berries have promising potential health benefits including anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, anti-fatigue, anti-diabetic, antiviral and others. For this reason, you may see more and more studies that evaluate the therapeutic and health-promoting effects of goji berries [39].
In traditional chinese medicine, tea is one of the most preferred carriers of goji berries. In addition to their health benefits, in this detox tea, goji berries add natural sweetness despite being very low in sugar content.
